I. Sheet 1v - 30v short extract from the Ālamgirnāma, "History of the conqueror of the world”, by Muhammad Kāżem, "Munshi” (= Aurangzeb), account of the first ten years of the reign of sovereign Moghul Aurangzeb 1 (1658-1668). The author, who died in Delhi in 1677 or 1668 occupied a prestigious office in the Mughal imperial administration.

II. Sheets 31r - 256 Ma'asir-i 'Ālamgiri, by  Muhammad Sāqi Mosta"edd Khān, the story of the reign of Aurangzeb completed in 1710-11. In truth, it mainly contains an account of the chronicles of the years from 1668 to 1709. Of this, the first part is a summary of the previous work. The author, who died in 1724 aged 75, occupied several offices in the in the Mughal imperial administration.
